A New Chapter of Healing Beyond Cancer
Breast cancer treatment is not only a physical battle but also an emotional journey that deeply affects confidence, identity, and everyday life. While surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation are critical medical steps, emotional rehabilitation and post-treatment care are equally important for survivors.
To support women in reclaiming confidence and dignity after treatment, Astitva Foundation, in collaboration with AIIMS Delhi, is launching the Breast Prosthesis Distribution & Rehabilitation Initiative in May 2026. This compassionate initiative focuses on helping breast cancer survivors heal emotionally, physically, and socially.
Through breast prosthesis support, arm stocking assistance, and rehabilitation awareness, the program aims to create a stronger support system for women recovering from breast cancer.
Why Breast Prosthesis Support Matters
After a mastectomy or breast cancer surgery, many women experience emotional trauma, low self-esteem, body image concerns, and physical discomfort. Breast prosthesis care helps survivors regain balance, confidence, and comfort in their daily lives.
A high-quality breast prosthesis can help women:
- Restore body symmetry and posture
- Improve confidence and emotional well-being
- Feel comfortable in regular clothing
- Reduce physical strain after surgery
- Support mental health recovery after breast cancer treatment
At Astitva Foundation, we believe recovery is not only about surviving cancer but also about helping women live with dignity, confidence, and hope.
Astitva Foundation x AIIMS Delhi: Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Initiative
The Breast Prosthesis Distribution & Rehabilitation Initiative at AIIMS Delhi is designed to provide compassionate support for breast cancer survivors who need post-treatment rehabilitation assistance.
Key Services Under the Initiative
1. Breast Prosthesis Distribution
Providing supportive breast prosthesis solutions to breast cancer survivors after mastectomy surgery.
2. Arm Stockings Support
Many breast cancer patients experience lymphedema and arm swelling after surgery. Compression arm stockings help improve circulation, comfort, and mobility.
3. Emotional & Rehabilitation Support
Healing is emotional as much as physical. The initiative encourages emotional wellness, confidence rebuilding, and survivor support.
4. Awareness & Survivor Empowerment
The initiative also focuses on spreading awareness about breast cancer rehabilitation, survivor care, and post-treatment recovery.
Supporting Breast Cancer Survivors with Compassion
Every cancer survivor deserves support beyond medical treatment. Many women silently struggle with emotional stress, physical discomfort, and social insecurity after surgery.

- Improve access to rehabilitation support
- Promote awareness about post-cancer care
